The South Middle School Counseling Department uses the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model to guide its programming.

Counseling Mission Statement: Our mission is to provide a guidance and counseling program that is comprehensive, and that addresses the academic, career and personal/social needs of each student. The program will be administered through guidance counseling, individual planning, system support, and responsive services. In cooperation with other educators, parents and support services within the community. We will facilitate the guidance and counseling program to ensure that each student within our school is prepared academically and socially with the knowledge and skills to contribute at the highest level as productive members of society.

If you would like to speak with a counselor, please request an appointment with your counselor by calling the school. If your child would like to speak to the counselor, he or she may request to speak with one by filling out an appointment request in the media center.
